CIO/Head of M&A

About Titan:

We are Titan, the next-generation MSP designed to revolutionize how IT service providers operate. IT MSPs help small businesses manage their tech stacks including devices, office/productivity software, cybersecurity, and networks. Ironically, MSPs are slow to adopt technology themselves resulting in inefficient, manual, and error prone work. We believe this $300b+ a year market is largely untouched and is ready to be disrupted by AI.

Our approach is simple: acquire well-established MSPs and deploy our team of best-in-class engineering + product talent to build the first AI-native MSP. By doing so, we can drastically improve service technicians’ productivity and drive 2-3x improvements in net margins, all while offering clients faster, higher-quality IT support.

Currently operating in stealth, Titan has recently raised a new round of funding led by General Catalyst from their $2.5 billion Venture Buyout Fund. Alongside General Catalyst, we’re backed by 8VC, Fortune 100 CISOs, seasoned MSP operators, distinguished private equity investors, and leading security and IT SaaS founders.

About the Role:

We’re seeking a dynamic leader to take on the pivotal role of CIO/Head of M&A. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of Titan’s growth strategy, spearheading acquisitions of MSPs with $1-10M EBITDA. You’ll have the opportunity to drive deal execution from end to end, shaping the future of the company and helping us scale rapidly.

As a key member of the executive team, you’ll have the autonomy to shape the company’s strategic direction, contribute to operational innovation, and help scale Titan rapidly into a market leader. This role offers the unique opportunity to work at the intersection of investing and AI, driving acquisitions and innovation to build a next-generation company poised to transform the MSP industry.

Qualifications:

We are looking for an ideal candidate at the VP2 - VP4 level from a top-tier private equity firm. You have a proven track record in deal sourcing, overseeing transactions from inception to close, and actively contributing to the investment thesis. We are also open to high-potential Sr. Associates, former PE investors who have transitioned to the operational side, or Corporate Development leaders with transaction experience.

While not required, the following experience is a strong plus:

  • Expertise in executing a roll-up strategy

  • Experience at a Tier 1 lower middle-market or middle-market fund

  • Industry exposure in the MSP, services, or technology sectors

  • Experience leading a Corporate Development team
